Sabancı Foundation, closely following the best practices in the field of accessibility, added new ones to its work in this field in 2022 and continued its applications toward making all of its contents accessible.

Following the “Accessibility Checklist,” all accessibility measures in all Sabancı Foundation events were improved. The accessibility measures included a tactile map, simultaneous audio description, detailed environment description, and live captions.

Furthermore, also in 2022, the Istanbul Performance of the Turkish National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra was made accessible for the visually impaired through audio description with the support of the Sabancı Foundation and the Accessible Everything team, selected Changemaker by the Sabancı Foundation.

We also maintained accessibility work on Changemakers, Grant Programs, Short Film Competition, and special event videos throughout 2022 and supported video content with audio description, Turkish Sign Language interpretation, and detailed subtitles.
