The Sabancı Foundation considers education a fundamental right. Education takes the lead among the strategic lines of business of the Sabancı Foundation. We strive to build a brighter future through the scholarships we have issued since our foundation with the conviction of gender equality in education. The number of scholarships issued since the establishment of the Foundation exceeded 52,500 as of 2022. In 2022, we provided scholarships to nearly 1,500 students, of which 309 are new.
The Sabancı Foundation—Vista Scholarship Program was launched in 2020 to support students enrolled in the four-year Tourism Administration Undergraduate Program. The program included 13 new students in 2022.
The non-refundable grants that require no return payment or service obligation are high in demand among successful students who have recently started their higher education. These grants help these students continue their education.
The monthly amount in the 2022–2023 academic period is 2,000 Turkish lira for undergraduate students, 1,350 Turkish lira for middle school students, and 1,000 Turkish lira for primary school students. Students receive payment twice in October, adding up to 10 months of payment until June.
Scholarship recipients for four universities (Çukurova, Dokuz Eylül, Istanbul-Cerrahpaşa, and Marmara Universities) are determined in cooperation with www.microfon.co platform and for nine universities (Ankara, Boğaziçi, Ege, Gazi, Hacettepe, Istanbul, Istanbul Technical, Middle East Technical, and Yıldız Technical) in cooperation with the departments responsible for scholarships.
Our Foundation has been participating in all interview stages since 2020.
