Maintenance, Repair and Support

Sabancı Foundation’s maintenance, repair and support activities for its institutions continued in 2022.

Our Foundation’s maintenance, repair and support activities for its institutions carried on in 2022. A total of 23 institutions underwent maintenance and repair with support from the resources of Sabancı Foundation.

Sakıp Sabancı Mardin City Museum and Dilek Sabancı Art Gallery

Sakıp Sabancı Mardin City Museum and Dilek Sabancı Art Gallery were opened on October 1, 2009, to exhibit the history, architecture, social structure, culture, ongoing daily practices, and living values of Mardin. Since then, the Museum and the Art Gallery received over 1 million visitors by the end of 2022. Additionally, over 15 thousands children and teenagers have participated in the workshops and other activities organized as part of the exhibitions.

The "Walls and Beyond" exhibition was opened on December 9, 2022, at Dilek Sabancı Art Gallery. The 11th exhibition to be hosted by Dilek Sabancı Art Gallery intertwines the ages-old human instinct to decorate walls with the oldest form of weaving and brings together over a hundred wall-hanging rugs from various collections.
