Sabancı Foundation’s maintenance, repair and support activities for its institutions continued in 2021.

Our Foundation’s maintenance, repair and support activities for its institutions carried on in 2021. A total of 28 institutions underwent maintenance and repair with support from the resources of Sabancı Foundation.

Sakıp Sabancı Mardin City Museum and Dilek Sabancı Art Gallery

Sakıp Sabancı Mardin City Museum and Dilek Sabancı Art Gallery were opened on October 1, 2009, to exhibit the history, architecture, social structure, culture, ongoing daily practices, and living values of Mardin. Since then, the Museum and the Art Gallery received over 970 thousand visitors by the end of 2021. Additionally, over 15 thousans children and teenagers have participated in the workshops and other activities organized as part of the exhibitions.

“The Russian Avant-Garde: Dreaming the Future through Art and Design” exhibition was launched on June 16, 2021, at Dilek Sabancı Art Gallery. The opening program included a theater performance. The Istanbul Sakıp Sabancı Museum hosted the highly acclaimed exhibition in 2018.Due to the pandemic, exhibition was moved to Mardin after two years and welcomed the people of Mardin in 2021. The Russian Avant-Garde exhibition was the tenth exhibition at the Dilek Sabancı Art Gallery.
